The challenge
With over 50 AI initiatives underway, Siemens Energy’s Gas Services division had started to actively explore the potential of artificial intelligence across core business processes.
Building on this momentum, Gas Services set the clear goal to move beyond isolated efforts and define bold, transformative initiatives that enable sustained impact across the Gas Service value chain.
Solution
In a focused project, we worked with Gas Services to identify the AI potential along the entire value chain of the division. Through close coordination with key stakeholders, a prioritized shortlist of existing initiatives and innovative ideas was developed.
We then supported managers in a two-day, cross-departmental workshop to quickly and thoroughly assess the feasibility and benefits of the use cases, set clear priorities and define concrete, feasible next steps.
Results & effects
The result was a clear, actionable AI roadmap with prioritized use cases, defined next steps and initial assessments of feasibility and impact, enabling Gas Services to move from isolated initiatives toward strategic impact. The roadmap has since played a key role in shaping the division's AI strategy and guiding initial investments.
Two of the three use cases identified during the workshop are now being actively pursued as projects with high added value.
