The problem
The project
Fassbender Tenten is one of the largest building materials retailers in NRW. An important part of its sales and customer management activities involves preparing individualized quotations based on inquiries. These inquiries are in the form of extensive service specifications created by construction companies. The quote generation process has been manual, obtaining prices for the requested products from a variety of sources, including materials in stock, price lists from manufacturers, and individually requested quotes from specific suppliers. Fassbender Tenten now plans to improve this process by fully automating it and matching requested items to proposed products. The goal is to increase efficiency and reduce manual labor.
The solution
Our contribution
In close cooperation with Fassbender Tenten, a custom web tool was developed to process the requests (.GAEB format) and fully digitalize the current process. The tool enables the import and processing of bills of quantities as well as the automated sending of e-mails to various industry partners for requesting quotations. The partners' responses are automatically sent back to the tool and used to send a quote to the customer in PDF or GAEB format.
